Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking
Please telephone or e mail to check availability for the dates you require, stating that you wish to book The Lodge.  Please always provide your phone number as we cannot accept a provisional booking without this.

Once we have confirmed your dates are free, please take a moment to read the ‘Terms and Conditions’ then please post us the booking form with the deposit or full payment. 

We can only hold provisional booking for 5 days. 

We can only accept cheques as payment. 

The deposit is 30% of the tariff and once we have received this your booking is confirmed in writing, a contract is then deemed to be formed.           

The final balance will be required in full, 6 weeks before your holiday together with a Good Housekeeping deposit of £100 in the form of a separate cheque. 

This will be returned to you after your departure and only cashed in the unlikely event of damage or extra cleaning to the property. 

We would not normally charge for minor breakages glassware/crockery providing that these have been reported.

Cancellation
Payment/deposits are not refundable. 

You are liable for the payment of the full rental on cancellation.

If you need to cancel your holiday please advice us as soon as possible and we will always try to re-let the property at a discount if necessary. 

If successful we will normally return the balance of the rental less an administration fee of £25.

We do advise you take out holiday insurance in the unlikely event of cancellation.

Should we for any reason need to cancel your booking we will refund in full all monies you have paid.  Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Occupancy
The Lodge is offered only on the understanding that no more than 6 people shall use it.  Smoking is not allowed in the property.  We reserve the right to refuse, curtail or levy additional charges for any booking, which appears not to meet this requirement.
Pets
No pets are allowed.
Arrival / Departure
The Lodge will be available for you from 3.30p.m. on the day of arrival.  Please advice if your arrival time is after 6.00p.m.  We require that you vacate the property by 10.30p.m. on the morning of your departure.  We ask that you leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
Complaints
Should you find any faults or have any complaints during your stay, please advice us immediately so that any appropriate action can be taken.
Liability
We do not accept responsibility for injury to persons or loss/damage to possessions unless caused by proven negligent act or omission of ourselves or contractors, or agents of the same, whilst acting in the course of their employment.  This includes loss or damage to vehicles and their contents, and to the personal possessions you bring with you.
